Off to the book fairs!

Have you read my post about bookfairs? Today’s evening I’m off to Riga (Thursday/Friday) and Vilnius (Saturday/Sunday). I plan to go to the book fairs and sightsee the cities. The plan is 1 day for each city and 1 day for each fair.

Visit the websites to know more on:

#OscarsSoWhite #OscarsSoStraight #OscarsSoMale

This year too, the Oscars Awards get lashed for the lack of diversity. As you know, I’m not into the USA film market, I couldn’t care less what’s happening there except selected things that picks up my interest. I want to write about the attitude and the hashtages #OscarsSoMale #OscarsSoWhite and #OscarsSoStraight. And I want to suggest some films for those who want to boycott Oscars 2016.

Vilnius and Riga book fairs

Well, hello!

At last something for the booklovers! For a long time already I have problems with reading books. I wouldn’t call it a reader’s block but I’m just unable to open up to others’ problems (too focused on my problems now). And you know… film doesn’t require immersion, it’s not that emotional and focusing like reading a book so I can get away with it. And with reading magazines.

I hope that with my next week’s trip to Vilnius (Lithuania) and Riga (Latvia) I’ll be able to lessen up my loads. I was supposed to go there months ago, but it didn’t work out.

I did a bit of research of writers, but I’m more interested in getting info at the book fairs. Continue reading the two names that made me interested.

Siti @ Five Flavours Festival

Every year at November there is Five Flavours Festival (Festiwal Pięć Smaków) in Warsaw. It’s an Asian cinema festival. Every year there is a theme/focus. This year it’s Japanese female directors.

But yesterday I went to see Indonesian film Siti (2014) about woman named Siti living in Parangtritis area, taking care of her paralysed husband (and his debt) and their son.

Did you watch Siti? What do you think of it?

PS. Yup, I have literally no time to keep updating blog. Sorry.
