How is going the A to Z 2014 World Books Challenge for you? Did you read your country’s books for January 2014, your neighbouring country’s books for February 2014 or one of the March 2014 countries’ books? If not, you can still join the challenge.
Two obligatory books have to be from two of the countries below. One of the books should be an anthology, covering at least one of the below mentioned countries. The books can be any genre, including poetry and non-fiction.
- Denmark (Danmark)
- United Arab Emirates (Dawlat al-ʾImārāt al-ʿArabiyyah al-Muttaḥidah)
- Eritrea (ኤርትራ/إرتريا)
- Estonia (Eesti)
- Palestine (Filastin / فلسطين)
The anthology can be, for example, like Best European Fiction 2013, where there are short stories both from Denmark and Estonia. It can be also a book on history/politics of United Arab Emirates (only 1 country), but it should be a collection of essays/articles of various people.
Choose book with the topic related to future written by an author from/set in one of the countries:
- Germany (Deutschland)
- El Salvador
- Swaziland (Eswatini)
It can be of any genre – fiction (like SF) or non-fiction. It can be a book that shows the future that never came. For example it can be a book about architecture that was supposed to be built. It can be something related to politics too.
Enjoy the reading!
